Accreditation/Curriculum
ECDC scored highest in the parish in all of the evaluation categories for Pre-K 3 and 4! ECDC adheres to the nationally acclaimed “Frog Street” curriculum for all of our classrooms from infants to pre-K 4. This curriculum is designed to tap into a child’s nature and create a joyful experience from the first moments of the day until it’s time to say goodbye. The children’s days are filled with songs, music, hands-on materials and activities designed to stimulate a child’s imagination.
Classes and Fees
Infants
6 weeks – 12 months
Our infant program provides our littlest learners with a safe, loving, caring environment focusing on meeting each child’s individual needs, building secure relationships and meeting developmental milestones while exposing them to songs, literature and more!
Toddlers
12 months – 24 months
When a child is developmentally ready, we begin the transition to our toddler program. Here, they are exposed to a schedule, more structure and more advanced learning through routines and transitions. With toddlers, we focus on building social emotional skills, language skills and physical development while also teaching colors, letters, numbers, and more through hands-on activities.
PreK 2
2 years – 3 years
Our Pre-K 2 program builds upon the toddler program and begins implementing additional instructional learning. The students continue to learn through play and meaningful activities with a greater exposure to early literacy, math and science. Pre-K 2 also focuses on social development, potty training and more complex language development.
Prek 3 & 4
3 years – 4 years
Pre-K 3 4 students are introduced to a higher level curriculum, where their
instructional learning starts to include more advanced concept development,
language modeling, and preparing for kindergarten concepts.
School Aged Club house
We have a full time teacher who helps the students
complete their homework and review school work so when you pick them up at the end of the day their work is done.
Summer Program
Runs from the first week of June to mid-August every
summer. We have water days, pony rides, petting zoo, entertainers, magic shows, and tons of other fun events!
Daily Schedule
We are a learning center, not a daycare, and we run our classrooms as such. Please try and be
on time. Our daily schedule is:
- Doors Open at 6am.
- Breakfast is served between 7:15 - 8:00 am. If your child arrives after 8:00 am we can not guarantee they will receive breakfast.
- The transition to learning time happens between 8am and 8:15 and the teachers are well into their curriculum by 8:30 am.
- The front door is shut and locked at 8:30am and only a Director can allow you to come into the facility at this time. It is at the Director's discretion if your child can attend class that day. If you are routinely late, you will be turned away. Late arrival is disruptive to the children and teachers.
- We will accept children with a doctors excuse or WIC appointment until 10:00 am however this needs to be arranged the day prior.
- Dismissal is no later than 6pm. We will begin to charge $5.00 a minute for every minute after 6:00. This is a state regulation. If a child is not picked up by 6:30 we must follow regulations and call the police. If a child is left after 6 pm 3 times, parents will get a written notice and they will be required to pick up their child by 5:30.
- We are an educational center from 8am - 3pm, please try and have our children be present for the required period.
